Little Miss Jabberwock Pageant

Pageant History

Originally, the “Jabberwock” was a delightful character from the book “Alice in Wonderland” that summoned all of the creatures in the kingdom to perform a gala event. Over the last eighty-five years the word Jabberwock has evolved in its symbolism and now represents an evening of elegance and entertainment. The Knightdale-Wake Forest Alumnae Chapter’s Jabberwock Pageant consists of two components: Miss Jabberwock, which is geared towards high school juniors and seniors and Little Miss Jabberwock, which focuses on younger girls that are in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Both components provide the members of Delta Sigma Theta an opportunity to nurture our youth and prepare them to become successful leaders of tomorrow.
